Offering a New Standard In Online Reservations

Digital Rez International, Barbados (DRI) - June 1, 2003

Digital Rez International (DRI) announced they have completed 5 major implementations of its Rez Robot Allocated Inventory System in the past fifteen months.

These systems benefit the smallest hostel to the largest luxury hotel chains. The system allows Internet surfers the ability to create their own vacation packages combining golf, museums, ticketing, tours and activities on one booking engine.

It also allows the participating tourism provider to receive allocated inventory, while allowing the provider to retain complete control from pricing to availability.

With enhancements to the current advanced grid-based property management system (ROS2000) slated for this fall, every Digital Rez client will be able to allocate and control inventory to multiple travel Web sites and manage it from their own front desks.

Ken Lahoda, founding CEO stated "ISP's, Tourism Bureaus, Travel Wholesalers and Internet Travel Portals can utilize these systems to enhance their real time service capabilities. It represents a significant step forward in benefiting Web-based systems and call centers that require real time fulfillment of reservations for wholesalers and tourism related sites."

Allocation Partner comments:

"Tourism Victoria (www.tourismvictoria.com) has been using the Rez Robot Allocation Server for one year. During this time, we have added over 130 accommodation and activity member businesses to the system and have experienced a significant rise in booking and ticketing activity for our organization. For example, we have sold over 40,000 admission tickets for a blockbuster museum exhibit in Victoria as well as a significant number of accommodation packages for this event.

The system enables Tourism Victoria to promote and sell member businesses' products via our website and reservation call center using a central, real time database. We also have the ability to print tickets at remote, staffed kiosk locations by tapping into the central database.

In addition, we have been able to create pre-bundled packages comprised of accommodation and non-accommodation products (e.g. activities and transportation) with a single price point. This feature has provided a welcomed service for visitors and has generated additional revenue for the destination.

Tourism Victoria continues to work closely with Digital Rez to enhance the system and enable us to add additional types of member business products. We recommend the Rez Robot Allocation Server and welcome any questions you may have."
