 Agents - Wholesalers
ROS2006 can track the travel agents you work with and calculate the commission due to each agent . It also allows you to accommodate the large scale booking requirements of travel companies tentatively reserving large blocks at your business . You can assign special rates for wholesalers, using the wholesaler’s rate profile to discount prices if desired. Wholesalers, along with the Manifest, Block Inventory and Overbooking tools, easily accommodate and streamline bookings for large groups.

Call Accounting
Hotels use call accounting to track and bill outgoing phone calls. ROS2006 does not handle this directly, but communicates with specialized third party call accounting programs connected to your phone system. Currently you can configure ROS2006 to communicate with three specific call accounting software programs: CASH, Genesis, and Affinity. As well, ROS2006 supports any call accounting program that uses the standard HOBIC II interface. Users must purchase and register the Call Accounting add-in and install one of the supported call accounting programs to use this functionality.

Cash Drawer
Users must purchase and register the Cash Drawer add-in and install the appropriate cash drawer program and hardware to use this functionality.

Mapping
The map allows you to easily view the availability of each unit . You can do everything from the map that you can do from the grid except edit the units, unit types or locations. The graphical nature of the map makes it easier for your staff to understand the physical layout of your business . The Map Setup Form is used to add unit blocks to the map picture that you load into your ROS2006 program.

Meters
The Meter Setup form allows you to set up different meters for your business. Regular meters can include odometers, water meters, propane meters, etc.
You can also set up utility meters. Utility meters differ from regular meters in that they can have progressive rates. For example, there can be price breaks at certain levels of consumption, including fuel cost adjustment factors. Quite often these utility meters are used in RV parks or condo rentals where some type of periodic monthly billing is used and the rate depends on how much power is used during the month.
The Meter Reading form allows you to enter the beginning and ending meter readings of any reservation. If you bill periodically, you can enter the ending meter reading any time during the period and ROS2006 calculates and adds the appropriate charge to the client’s bill.

Minutely Grid
The Down to the Minute grid tracks inventory you rent or reserve by the hour or minute, like boats, bikes, or golf tee off times. You can even run doctors' or dentists' appointment systems. The minute grid layout is the reverse of the daily grid. Time increments run down the left side of the grid and the units run across the top.

Overbooking / Blocking
The Block Inventory form allows you to accommodate large tentative advanced booking arrangements made by wholesalers. Block off the required business inventory, and increase your booking capacity by setting an over-book margin. Revise the numbers as required, retaining a record of the original inventory requested, the number actually blocked, and the numbers sold. Blocked inventory is linked to reservations made to produce a current and accurate calculation of current availability.

Packages
Packages are used to create reservations with specified products included. Ensure products and time periods used are fully configured, including rates. All of the products in the package are specified on the client's bill under one total package price. The Reservation Packages form allows you to create new packages and edit or delete existing ones.

Resource Scheduler
ROS2006 expands the concept of group bookings to include multiple events or resources booked by a single customer. After clients are booked on bus tours or rafting tours, or at theater events and dinner sittings, use the Resource Scheduling Form to organize and schedule them. Assign clients to specific groups for scheduled pickup and departure, or to tables for events such as theater showings or dinner seating. Print individual tickets and group rosters from the form.

Security Gate
Users must purchase and register the Security Gate add-in and install the appropriate hardware and program to use this functionality. The Security Gate controls gate access to your park premises, through either central control or by authorizing entry by cardholders.

Yield Management
The Yield Management Add-In is a rate adjustment system based on occupancy levels of the business . For example, if your business is 25% full you may encourage reservations by offering a 15% discount . As the occupancy rate goes up you may increase the reservation rate until it reaches 100% of the base rate or even higher.
Because the yield rate system is often used by hotels, this feature incorporates the Night Audit system. Note that night audit is turned on automatically when you enable yield management even though the Night Audit preference may read No. Night audit breaks reservation transactions down to the individual days. This is done because there may be different rates for different days in the reservation and a hotel usually breaks billings down by day
